Larry Long

Larry Long provides insight to Evolve and its mining clients based on his over 35 years of progressive operational and executive experience in surface and underground mining.

Larry recently retired from Nutrien, where he was SVP Potash Operations and Senior Advisor, Potash Operations and Exploration. In addition to his extensive potash experience, Larry has worked with gold, diamonds, and base metals for companies including BHP Billiton, Noranda Exploration and Potacan. His experience includes hands-on site management experience with underground and open pit mines as well as exploration, planning and geology.

Larry has been a board member of the Saskatchewan Mining Association since 2011, and he served as Chair from 2021-2023. Larry holds a BSc., Geology from the University of New Brunswick.
